Friday April 3rd – First Friday Art by Architects Reception: Join us for a juried exhibition of fine art created by members and spouses of the Phoenix Metro Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Media includes oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, photography and sculpture. 6:00 p.m. / AIA Office in the Walker Building / 30 North 3rd Avenue, #200 in Downtown Phoenix.
Saturday April 11th – Annual Desert Classic Volleyball Tournament: It’s time for fun in the sun! Join us for this annual coed volleyball tournament sponsored by the AIA Affiliate Members. Tuesday April 14th – Slide Slam: Arizona architects talk informally about their latest work, followed by light refreshments and conversation. The architects the will be presenting are John Douglas, FAIA (Douglas Architecture + Planning); Cathy Hayes, AIA (Hayes Architecture/Interiors, Inc.); Rob Paulus, AIA (Rob Paulus Architect, Ltd); And James Trahan, AIA (180 Degrees). Thursday April 23rd – At Home with the Architects: Spend an evening with the Architects and designers of homes featured on this year’s home tour as they walk us through the design process for each house and explain firsthand the concepts and unique challenges that drove the designs.
