The AIA 2008 Architecture Week Home Tour features twelve homes that are open for a self-guided tour on Sunday, April 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  This year’s tour will showcase a variety of designs and types of architecture that demonstrate how good design can be both affordable and state of the art.

Tickets may be purchased in advance for $22 by calling the AIA Office at 602-252-4200 or email Diana@aia-arizona.org.  Tickets will also be available for $25 at any of the homes on the day of the tour. Click here to view the list of homes on the tour, as well as some photos of each design.

Those of you who missed last nights lecture…DON’T MISS THE TOUR! Some very interesting and challenging projects were presented. I can’t wait to see them. It is good to see some of the projects getting represented are from young architects No more architects hitting their stride at 60!!!

Anything wrong with architect’s hitting their stride at 60? or 55? or 70?

Very cute…of course not! It is a tremendous achievement to “hit your stride” as an architect at any age. However, lets not downplay the point…these young architects are doing some very interesting work and getting their work noticed! Again…I can’t wait to move beyond the photographs I have seen and experience them this weekend.
